In-House Security (B3
Minimum Requirements
- Namibian Citizen
- Grade 12 qualification
- 5+ years of working experience as an in-house security
- Must be physically fit
- Computer Literate
- Punctuality and adaptability
- Diligence and precision
- Fluent in English (Afrikaans will be an advantage)
- Self Defence Certificate
- Code B Driver’s License
- First-Aid Training
- Certificate in Safety/Security
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall security of the NTN Premises (Theatre,
Production Office, Head Office, Artist House).
- Responsible for the safeguarding of all fixed and movable assets of the NTN or assets entrusted to the NTN.
- Keeping control of the Movement of Equipment (Sound & Lighting, stage Units, AV, etc.) in and out of the theatre;
- Controls human traffic and liaises with patrons and clients during rehearsals and stage productions;
- Responsible for regularly checking to ensure the safety of patrons and staff, particularly regarding compliance with fire and safety regulations at the venues. Promptly report any deficiencies to the relevant responsible parties, such as fire brigade personnel.
- Responsible for the provision of access to and closing of the parking lot backstage before and after productions.
- Responsible for the up-keep of all venue-related safety regulations.
- Responsible for providing third parties (artists, clients, etc.) with keys to lockable rooms, such as dressing rooms, during productions and rehearsals. This is to help safeguard their personal belongings and equipment, although usage of the rooms is at their own risk.
- Ensure availability for emergency calls by the security companies monitoring NTN venues after hours;
- Ensure the safety of human life during and after any production or errands.
Cleaner (A2)
Minimum Requirements
- Namibian Citizen.
- Grade 10 qualification.
- 5+ years working experience in an industrial environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning material and chemical mixing.
- Basic hygiene procedures.
- Must be physically fit.
- Punctuality and adaptability.
- Diligence and precision.
- Strict rule-following dispositions.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for all cleaning at NTN venues or venues used by or made available to the NTN for public performances and/or related functions, the office complex and the house accommodating artists.
- Responsible for supervision of cleaning sprees involving temporary cleaning staff or external cleaning services.
- Cleaning of stage cloth and accessories used for productions.
- Offers assistance to different departments (in particular the Receptionist) in all matters relating to storing & tidiness.
- Responsible for the watering and maintenance of internal plants.
- The cleaning of the offices has to be done daily at the start of the working days.
- Responsible for cleaning material audit before and during productions.
- Re-order of cleaning materials is the responsibility of the Cleaner.
- General upkeep and cleanliness of NTN premises.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Pick up and empty trash in and around the building.
- Care for facility and equipment with high level of consideration for its value at all times.
